Summer Season 2021/22 - Wrap Up

Published Mon 11 Apr 2022

Our first summer season has come and gone and what a season it was!

We entered 4 teams into the ACT Summer Competition, 12&U boys and girls as well as 14&U boys and girls. All teams improved greatly, particuarly in the second half of the season. Well done to our boys team who made it all the way through to the Grand Final, going down in a tight contest to CGS.

Our 14&U teams enjoyed the opportunity to improve their skills against strong opposition at the Canberra Cup and NSW Junior Country Club tournaments. Team chemistry and cohesion developed greatly during these tournaments.

The 12&U Waves also got to play in the 12&U Big O Festival in Orange. The team was extremly competivitve in the mixed division and had a great time! They are now preparing for WATERPOLOOZA at the end of the holidays.

We celebrated the season that was at our end of season presentation day, held at the wonderful Alby Hotel. Congratulations to the award winners on the day:

14&U Girls Most Improved - Chelsea McInerney

14&U Boys Most Improved - Dash Weir

14&U Girls Most Valuable Player - Abigail Van Ballegooyen

14&U Boys Most Valuable Player - Will Robinson

We are excited to be entering teams into the 16&U division over winter and welcome any one wishing to develop their skills to get involved.

Thank you to everyone who made our first season in 2021/22 so great and we can't wait to see you back next season.
