Summer season update

Round 9 is on next weekend with matches at the AIS. You can stay up to date with the rounds on Competitions — Water Polo ACT. Draw and results can be found on the WPACT website.

All team updates are available in our new community on WhatsApp for Woden Waves water polo via your team chats.

Age groups include:

• 12&U Mixed – (born 2013 & 2014, some 2011 players are permitted)

• 14&U Boys and Girls – (born 2011 & 2012)

• 16&U Boys and Girls – (born 2009 & 2010)

• Youth League Men – Born 2006 or later (limited older players permitted)

• Women’s 2nd Grade - (born 2009 & older)

Remember, our code of conduct applies to all members and players need to prioritise in their age division as outlined in our age group policy and

The season will conclude with:

• ACT Club Championships Wagga Wagga - 7th to 9th March 2025 (accommodation deal with Mercure Wagga arranged by the club)

• Grand Final Day - 5th April 2025

ACT Waterpolo Awards night

The WPACT Awards night will be held on 21 March, 2025. The awards aim to celebrate exceptional performances and people within the ACT waterpolo community in a fun night for everyone.

WPACT is seeking nominations for the community awards. These categories recognise great people that contribute greatly and make a big impact.

Categories include:

• Junior Coach of the Year

• Senior Coach of the Year

• Junior Referee of the Year

• Senior Referee of the Year

• Stuart Heddle - Volunteer of the Year

Any WPACT member can nominate via the form. So, nominate a deserving member from our waves community before the 1 March, 2025 close.

WPACT Representative parents group

Have you volunteered to be part of the WPACT Representative players parents group?

WPACT are seeking support from representative player parents to help with organising logistics ahead of representative tournaments. If you have expressed interest in this group or want to contact president@wodenwaves.com.

New swimwear - available in store

You can purchase our new swimwear designs at our Kap7 team store. All players can still wear the original waves designs at training and when playing as well. We encourage you to buy the new designs when you need new swimwear.

We also have a second-hand uniform shop too. So, if you have outgrown your gear and it’s in good condition to pass along or want to make a cheaper purchase contact Denise Bell via our WhatsApp community.

Thanks to everyone who generously supported our recent home game BBQ on 1 February to raise funds for the club and our teams.

A massive shoutout to all the BBQ volunteers and our amazing bakers who created yummy treats to sell. All money raised is supporting the club and our teams!
