Congratulations to our Canberra Cup under 17s champs!

Congratulations to all our teams who took part in the recent Junior Canberra Cup. It was a great tournament across the age groups represented - under 14 girls and boys and under 17 girls and boys teams.
A massive winning result from our under 17 boys who took out Division 2 defeating the Drummoyne Devils 14 to 4 in an exciting final.

Well done to the team and their coach and managers. A huge thanks to all our waves community who came to cheer them on in the final too!
A special shout out to draft players Declan Walsh, Gosford Water Polo Club and John Ziros, UNSW Water Polo Club, John was also named most valuable player in this Division.

Summer 2024/25 season is underway
|

|

Thanks for registering with us, we are up to round 4 this weekend. Stay up to date with the rounds on Competitions — Water Polo ACT.
Age groups include:
- 12&U Mixed – (born 2013 & 2014, some 2011 players are permitted)
- 14&U Boys and Girls – (born 2011 & 2012)
- 16&U Boys and Girls – (born 2009 & 2010)
- Youth League Men – Born 2006 or later (limited older players permitted)
- Women’s 2nd Grade - (born 2009 & older)
Our under 14 and 16 girls’ teams have combined with Canberra Grammar due to numbers. Players from these teams can attend both waves and CGS training sessions, check the team WhatsApp chat for dates and times.
Please be aware players need to prioritise in their age division as outlined in our age group policy.
Team updates are found in our new community on WhatsApp for Woden Waves water polo via your team chats. Training will continue until 17 December before the mid-season break.

- Juniors – Term 4 start 19th October 2024 to 14th December 2024
- Mid-Season Break - 20 Dec 2024 - 1st Feb 2025
- Term 1 start 1st February 2025
- ACT Club Championships - 7th to 9th March 2025
- Grand Final Day - 5th April 2025

New swimwear designs - coming soon

We have new designs for swimwear being developed with Kap7 coming shortly. Details on how to purchase these items will be shared soon in our community.
We also have a second-hand uniform shop too. So, if you have outgrown your gear and it’s in good condition to pass along or want to make a cheaper purchase contact Denise Bell via our WhatsApp community.

Australian Youth Water Polo Championships 2025 - information session

If you are interested in being part of AYC in Perth in 2025, then you're invited to join our information session this Sunday from 3:30pm to 4:15pm. Join the AYC Perth 2025 chat in WhatsApp for more information.

Safety of our players is our highest priority at Waves, so we have a mandatory mouthguard policy for all Woden Waves Water Polo Club registered players, during ‘in water’ activities including training and games as a way to help.
Suitable mouthguards can be purchased over the counter or can be custom fitted.
Get familiar with our mouthguard policy and make sure to remember to wear your mouth guard.
