Welcome to Woden Waves Water Polo Club!

Woden Waves is Canberra's newest Water Polo club and is based out of the world class Stromlo Leisure Centre. Woden Waves also has feeder programs throughout the Woden, Weston and Molonglo regions of Canberra. Our mission is to expose young people to our wonderful game of Water Polo in a fun and inclusive environment.

"Making Waves" is our motto as we aim to spread the word of Water Polo throughout the ACT and hopefully inspire the next generation to be active and leaders within our community. We aim to build a strong foundation by getting kids into the sport early and then hope to grow our club over time once we have developed skilful players who love the sport of Water Polo.

At this stage we are offering two Junior Dolphins programs at Stellar Canberra and Stromlo Leisure Centre. This program is aimed at 7-13-year-old players wishing to give Water Polo a go. The aim for the Junior Dolphins program is for players to:

1. Learn the fundamentals of water polo
2. Learn the basic rules for games
3. Make new friends
4. HAVE FUN
5. Fall in love with the sport of water polo!

Woden Waves aims to enter teams into the Water Polo ACT Summer and/or Winter competitions over the next 12 months. The aim is to enter 14&U boys and girl’s teams initially, with 16&U teams added in due course once we have enough players, that have developed the relevant skills in this age group. More details about these age groups will be added to the programs section of this website, in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us for an update and to be added to our mailing list.

We look forward being the first Water Polo club to service this amazing part of Canberra and to spread Water Polo further into our community.
